Tunica, Mississippi is a relatively new gambling hot spot that has caught the eye of many poker players. The gambling casinos there are under the same ownership as those found in Las Vegas but you will not find as much flash or as many tourist spots. Another hot spot to visit on the Eastern seaboard is Atlantic City. It is the main competition to Las Vegas. You probably will not have to look very hard in order to find gambling casinos in this country. The hardest part will be deciding on where to go. Just remember that not every gambling hotspot is suitable for tourism; however, if gambling is what you are looking for, then you will be sure to find some casino games. It may be a trip to Vegas to see the shows and spend a little cash at the table or it could be a trip down to the mighty Mississippi. Whatever your destination, no doubt you will experience plenty of excitement.

Unfortunately, Bravo elected not to continue "Celebrity Poker Showdown." The show only lasted five seasons but eight tournaments were held during that time. Five seasons is not a bad showing, as some television shows barely last one. Most of the tournaments were held at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada but the final tournament was moved to Harrah's in New Orleans, Louisiana. The last poker tournament was to benefit the Hurricane Katrina victims so at least something good came from the entire series. |
