Gambling Casinos

The present article has been read by many of our visitors and greatly appreciated. Hopefully you will enjoy it likewise.

Do you remember the hit song by Kenny Rogers "The Gambler?" There was also a movie based on the song about the poker game. Poker has been around for quite some time, as well as many other games of chance. But if you are tired of watching the professionals play on television, then it is time to find some gambling casinos to visit of your own. Take a walk on the wild side and sit down at a poker table, stack up your poker chips and play some poker games, such as Texas Hold Em. This can be done in various parts of the country, from the deserts of Nevada to the shores of the Atlantic.

If you are looking for world class card games, such as Texas Hold Em, then you may want to visit Las Vegas. Las Vegas has plenty of casinos to satisfy anyone's holdem poker desires but it is the Bellagio that stands out from the crowd. The World Series of Poker is often held in this magnificent casino. This is no ordinary card game. It is one for the big shots and high rollers where millions of dollars are won and lost at Dame Fortune's whim. It takes skill to be sitting at one of these tables during a poker tournament. If Vegas is a bit too flashy for you and you are more into gambling than sightseeing, then there is another place you may want to visit.

Tunica, Mississippi is a relatively new gambling hot spot that has caught the eye of many poker players. The gambling casinos there are under the same ownership as those found in Las Vegas but you will not find as much flash or as many tourist spots. People go there to gamble, not to see the mighty, muddy Mississippi River. If you happen to go to Tunica, then you may want to stop at The Gold Strike Casino for your gaming pleasure.

Another hot spot to visit on the Eastern seaboard is Atlantic City. It is the main competition to Las Vegas. Gambling there has only been legal since the 70's but it has risen in popularity very quickly. A card game here is just as serious as those found in Las Vegas and Tunica but you always have the comfort of the Boardwalk, should you lose out on a hand or three.

You probably will not have to look very hard in order to find gambling casinos in this country. The hardest part will be deciding on where to go. Just remember that not every gambling hotspot is suitable for tourism; however, if gambling is what you are looking for, then you will be sure to find some casino games. It may be a trip to Vegas to see the shows and spend a little cash at the table or it could be a trip down to the mighty Mississippi. Whatever your destination, no doubt you will experience plenty of excitement.

Today's Tip On Poker

Unfortunately, Bravo elected not to continue "Celebrity Poker Showdown." The show only lasted five seasons but eight tournaments were held during that time. Five seasons is not a bad showing, as some television shows barely last one. Most of the tournaments were held at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada but the final tournament was moved to Harrah's in New Orleans, Louisiana. The last poker tournament was to benefit the Hurricane Katrina victims so at least something good came from the entire series.
